The Resurrection is the event in which Jesus Christ rises from the dead. This event is central to the New Testament’s understanding of the glorification of Jesus (1 Co 15:3-4) and is a pivotal part of the process through which heaven and earth are reconciled, alongside the Cross and the Ascension (CCC 2795).
